Adjustments Diversified Technique

Manipulation is movement of short amplitude and high velocity that moves the joint beyond the range of the muscles, but short of ligament rupture. The chiropractor will move the affected joint to the limit of its range of movement and then make a rapid thrust beyond this point to stretch the joint capsule and surrounding tissues. Cracking or popping sounds may be heard during the thrust… This is caused by gases in the spinal fluid (the lubricating fluid inside each joint capsule) and is harmless.

Gentle Activator Adjustment Treatments

The Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique (AMCT) uses the latest advances in orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examinations to seek joint dysfunction in the spinal column and extremities for improved patient care. AMCT uses the Activator Adjusting Instrument to give consistent low-force, high-speed chiropractic adjustments.

How can you maintain your adjustments?

Proper ergonomics, stretching and activities of daily living help to maintain your adjustments.

Treat your injury, not just your symptoms.

When we experience an auto accident an ambulance arrives at the scene and based on the extent of your visible injuries you are bandaged up on sight or taken to the hospital, but what about the injuries that they cannot see?

One of the most common injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident, whiplash, generally occurs when a vehicle is struck from behind. During a vehicle accident of this type an individual’s neck is suddenly snapped forward and then back, this is referred to as a cervical acceleration-deceleration injury.

There is often no visible sign of a whiplash injury, and initially the pain is not severe. This often causes most people to avoid seeking help. When they do seek help their primary physician often prescribes pain killers and a neck brace. While this will reduce your pain, it will not treat or repair your injury. If you have been suffering the above symptoms for more than six months after your auto accident you may develop Whiplash syndrome. It is important that the proper testing be provided to prevent future problems that can develop if s condition is not properly diagnosed and treated.

Symptoms of Whiplash after an Auto Accident

  • Neck, Back, and Shoulder Pain
  • Stiffness in the back and neck
  • Headaches
  • A feeling of pins & needles

Why is important to seek treatment?

Car accident injuries may not appear immediately, and in some cases they may not affect you for months after an auto accident. Your primary physician and hospital staff are not specifically trained to detect injuries without visible signs. Chiropractors are trained to detect and treat these types of injuries.

Treatment of Auto Injury & Whiplash

Early physical rehabilitation is recommended in the recovery of your auto accident. A 2004 study concluded that early physical therapy after a whiplash diagnosis has a more successful outcome than collar therapy.

If you have been injured in an auto accident our physical therapy team will create a treatment plan that repairs and strengthens damaged tissue. The Accident Physical Therapy team of Collier Chiropractic & Accident Rehabilitation Center treats the underlying injury, not just the symptoms. Testing for damage due to an auto accident may include X-rays, mri scans, ct scan, and a nerve test to reveal the true extent of the injury. We know that when you have been injured in an auto accident you need to get back to your daily activity level as soon as possible. Our professional accident physical therapy team is committed to getting your back to your old self as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Whether you are in for a chiropractic adjustment or physical therapy, massage can make a difference.

Chiropractic Massage

A chiropractic massage is often applied to assist your chiropractic adjustment. This helps to relax the muscles surrounding the spine and reduce pain. It also allows your chiropractic adjustment to be more effective.

These methods are tailored to the specific needs of each patient with the goal of restoring the body’s movement and function. During physiotherapy a variety of treatment options may be used, including, but not limited to: functional training, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercise.

This safe and effective option is used to treat chronic lower back, Neck, and sciatica pain.

VAX-D Spinal Decompression is a non-surgical option to treat chronic lower back pain, sciatica, and neck pain. Collier Chiropractic & Accident Rehabilitation Center has been Voted #1 for VAX-D treatment in Naples. Our treatment is safe and effective without any of the risks associated with surgery, injections or anesthesia.

how vax-d works

VAX-D Spinal Decompression is non-invasive, meaning you don’t have to be concerned with the risks, pain, and complications associated with surgical options, injections, and anesthesia. Before beginning VAX-D patients are required to complete a physcial exam and have current imaging of their complaint to determine that no serious conditions are a determining factor. The treatment plan lasts between 30 to 60 days, and each session lasts around 30 minutes. VAX-D can be performed while you are in a comfortable position, reducing continued pain. Each session is $80.

Spinal decompression treatment reduces the pressure in your spinal discs which, in turn, relieves the stress on the pinched, inflamed nerves in your spine. During treatment your spine is gently stretched and the discs are decompressed. As the disc is repositioned the pressure is released from the nerves. VAX-D Spinal Decompression ends the pain of bulging disks, sciatica, and other chronic neck and back pain without the need for surgery. Let your body heal naturally with VAX-D Spinal Decompression.

Non-invasive back and neck pain treatment
When you choose surgery to treat your chronic back pain your surgeon will relieve the pressure on your spine through decompression. The goal of surgery is the same as VAX-D treatment, but without the dangers associated with a medical operation.

Successful alternative to traction devices
Traction devices stretch the lower back, but they do not possess the ability to decompress cervical and lumbar discs. They have also not been able to reduce spinal nerve compression.

Traction can’t address the reason for spinal pain, VAX-D can. Spinal disc pressure can be as high as +180mm of mercury. With treatment that pressure can be reduced to -160 mm of mercury. VAX-D reduces the disc pressure to negative levels, and negative pressure leads to negative pain.

VAX-D, therefore, unlike popular though relatively ineffective traction devices, more precisely addresses the reason for spinal pain. Although traction devices can stretch the lower back, they have not demonstrated the ability to decompress the lumbar and cervical discs or reduce spinal nerve compression. VAX-D works by reducing the pressure within the discs, not to zero, but to negative levels! No other device has been shown to reduce the disc pressure to these desired negative levels. It is this negative pressure that causes the disc bulging or herniation to decrease in severity. This in turn reduces pressure on the spinal nerves, which ultimately leads to less or no pain.

VAX-D Spinal Decompression treats the following conditions:

  • Lower back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Sciatica
  • Disc Herniation
  • Disc Bulge
  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Disc Extrusions
  • Spinal Facet syndrome
  • Spinal Stenosis
  • Osteoarthritis

Spinal decompression therapy brings relief to those who suffer from the common causes of neck, lower back, and leg pain.
Many VAX-D patients report feeling better during their first several treatment sessions. As treatment continues our patients experience a gradual reduction in symptoms.

It is the only treatment device shown to decrease disc pressure.
Numerous clinical studies have proven that VAX-D Spinal Decompression Therapy is safe and effective, and 3000+ patients are treated daily. These studies have also shown reduced pain and an increase in mobility as a result of non-invasive VAX-D treatment. VAX-D is an easy and painless alternative to spinal surgery. VAX-D Spinal Decompression from Collier Chiropractic is only $80 per session. If you are interested in treating your back and neck pain non-invasively contact us today.
